Learn more about the Minority Mental Health Awareness Summit

Given the number of mental health facilities that have closed around the world and the increasing diversity of patients, the need for culturally competent mental health services is essential to improving care. National research finds that minority groups are less likely to have access to mental health services and more likely to receive lower quality care. Growing evidence points to a need for culturally responsive interventions that increase quality and access to mental health services and dismantle stigma that persists in minority populations.

No More Martyrs hosts the Minority Mental Health Awareness Summit each year to showcase the unique perspectives of diverse mental health providers, consumers, caregivers and community members. A diverse array of speakers are invited to share their perspectives on culturally responsive care and services.
